Zhanna Chuikova presented a poster at OHBM 2026 in Bordeaux, France

Junior Research Fellow at the Cognitive Health and Intelligence Centre, Zhanna Chuikova, took part in OHBM 2026 (Organization for Human Brain Mapping), which was held in Bordeaux, France, from June 13 to 18, 2026. Zhanna presented a poster titled “Cognitive flexibility and bilingual language switching: an fMRI meta-analysis.”

OHBM is one of the most prominent conferences in the field of neuroimaging, bringing together thousands of specialists from around the world. The conference mainly featured studies using fMRI, but also included research based on EEG, MEG, TMS, and eye tracking.

Commenting on her participation, Zhanna said: “This was my second time attending the conference, and I would rate the experience as excellent. The posters were organized by topic, which gave me the opportunity to speak with researchers from different countries working on similar issues. It was interesting to exchange experience and learn about my colleagues’ research directions. I also had the chance to talk with people who, like me, conduct meta-analyses of fMRI data and discuss ways to address some of the challenges that arise during data analysis. Finally, I was extremely pleased to see that my poster attracted interest from some conference participants.”
